When you write in about a problem, it helps enormously if you can tell us:

  • What you were using — iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Roku, Android, or the website
  • Roughly what time it happened, and what you saw or heard
  • Whether you were on Wi-Fi or cellular data

Common Questions

The app opens but nothing plays

Press Play once and give it a few seconds — the stream buffers before the first sound. If it stays silent, check that your device is not muted and that the volume is up, then try switching the sound quality to Low on the player screen. Low uses the least bandwidth and will connect on almost any signal.

The audio keeps cutting out

This is nearly always the connection rather than the station. Switch the sound quality to Medium or Low. On a phone, the app already defaults to Medium on cellular and High on Wi-Fi, but you can override it any time.

Playback stops when I lock my phone

It shouldn't — MCC Radio is built to keep playing in the background, with controls on your Lock Screen and in Control Center. If it stops, make sure iOS Low Power Mode is off, and check that Background App Refresh has not been disabled for the app in Settings.

The song title is wrong or says nothing

Song information comes from our broadcast automation and refreshes every 15 seconds. During live programs and syndicated shows, the title may show the program name instead of an individual song. If it is stuck for a long stretch, let us know roughly when.

Can I listen through my car, a speaker, or headphones?

Yes. Anything your device can play to will work — Bluetooth, USB, AirPlay to a HomePod or Apple TV, or a wired connection. Use the AirPlay button on the player screen to pick a speaker.

Can I ask Siri to turn it on?

Yes. "Hey Siri, play MCC Radio" starts the stream, and "Hey Siri, pause MCC Radio" stops it.

The schedule looks out of date

The app pulls the schedule straight from this website, so it updates whenever we do. All times are Eastern. If a program has moved and the schedule still shows the old slot, that is on us — please tell us and we will fix it.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no subscription. The app is free and always will be.

Does the app cost anything or show ads?

Neither. MCC Radio is a listener-supported ministry of My Community Church. If you would like to help keep it on the air, the Donate page explains how.

How do I request a song or a program?

Email [email protected] or send us a message on Facebook. We read every request, though we cannot promise airplay for all of them.

Where to Get the App

MCC Radio is available for iPhone and iPad, Apple TV, Roku, and Android. The Apps page has the link for each platform, including how to join the beta for the apps that are still in testing. If you would rather not install anything, the Listen page has a browser player.

Having trouble installing or updating? App store issues are usually resolved by restarting the device and trying again. If it still will not install, email us with the device you are using and we will help you sort it out.
